Sr Software Engineer, Frontend - Uber for Business

About the role:

Partners with stakeholders and leads team efforts to design, develop, and maintain complex user interfaces and features for web applications that meet the design, functionality, and complexity needs of end users.

About the Team:

We are hiring for two teams inside Uber for Business organization:

Uber Central:

Uber Central’s vision is to help businesses keep their customers and guests moving with powerful features in one dashboard. Moreover, we have built a HIPAA compliant delegate booking platform supporting various delegate booking use cases. In the next year, we will expand central’s offerings to meet enterprises where they are by offering various transportation and delivery solutions and continue to evolve the delegate booking platform.

Employee Products:

The Employee Products vertical build solutions for our corporate users in the travel and eats space. 

Under the Uber for Business Umbrella, Employee Products builds products, services, and experiences that empower organizations to grow their business. More specifically, we are the backbone of the end to end enterprise consumer experience with engineering challenges that range from building core services for our profiles, policies, etc. to more greenfield experiences, such as new UberEats offerings only available to businesses.

Minimum qualifications:

• PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR 3-years full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 2-years total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Programming language (e.g. JavaScript, CSS, Node.js)

• Architecting, building, and maintaining web applications

• Note the 2-years total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research, or similar (OR some combination of these).  The years of specialized experience are not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated. 

Technical skills:

Required:

• API design
• Modern javascript
• Modern js framework
• UX

Preferred:

• Static typing systems
