BA/PM - PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

UKG is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Select Services team. This Business Analyst role demands strong problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills. The role will be responsible for partnering with business units to identify solutions that will streamline business process to improve quality and throughput within the organization. This role needs a strategic visionary and an innovative thinker that will be involved in all requirements related activities. Qualified candidates must possess broad experience conducting requirements gathering sessions and creating business specification documentation for projects. This position demands strong organizational skills and problem-solving expertise.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and create deliverables for all aspects of business analysis for our initiatives. Activities include requirements elicitation, functional specification creation, use case analysis and visual (UML and other) model development
• Ability to lead business partners through identification of process baseline and estimate improvements based on technology or process improvement recommendations. Track these initiative indicators through to success
• Participate in prioritization of the business units technology request backlog for the development team in accordance to the business values, need and how the requests tie back to our strategic goals
• Ensure any product development deliverables from the technology teams conform to the business requirements
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, programmers and testers on software test plans
• Facilitate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to ensure high-quality software deliverables
• Communicate effectively with all team members, project sponsors and stakeholders both technical and non-technical. Must be able to explain technical issues to non-technical people attempting to meet the user's needs and ensuring team collaboration for project success
• Provide weekly updates for all assigned requests and projects
• Be able to identify and implement process improvement

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in Business / Functional Requirements Analysis and project management
• Knowledge of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, with an emphasis on requirements elicitation, requirements and design modeling, documentation and communication
• Ability to handle heavy workload, facilitate the activities of dynamic workgroups, and multi-task in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
• Ability to adjust work hours based on need to support functions located in different regions of the U.S.
• Ability to decompose high-level concepts into details and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
• Must have a working knowledge of project management lifecycle and techniques
• Must have working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, MS Access and MS Project
• High degree of self-motivation to learn new methodologies/technologies that will enhance job performance

Education/Certification/License:

• Business Analysis Certification preferred (CBAP Certified Business Analysis Professional)
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing and executing test plans/scripts
• Experience in HRMS/Payroll industry and/or UKG's products
• Experience with tax filing services, payroll or tax agency filing
• Experience with Salesforce.com
• Experience using 'Agile' methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Continuous Integration, Extreme Programming, and/or Test Driven Development
