About the Team:
We are currently seeking a leader in the Public Sector who wants to pivot into the technology world as a Principal Sales Business Consultant to grow UKG’s position in the Public Sector. Principal Sales Business Consultants are experts in the Public Sector with deep industry knowledge.

About the Role:
This person must have a passion for the public sector and expertise in Human Capital Management. They should possess strong leadership skills for driving the go to market strategy within the public sector team, be an expert at developing relationships and establishing confidence at all levels of the organization both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:
• Defines long-term goal to build key customer relationships
• Identify business opportunities to builds capacity for Sales Account Executives and Regional Sales Directors to convey UKG’s Point of View
• Facilitate discussions with our customers leading industry discussions, and conducting keynotes and seminars
• Leads end to end value consulting engagements that meet both prospects and customer needs.
• Develops go-to market strategy for industry and works closely with marketing, sales and pre-sales to ensure go to market goals are met.
• Liaison with the product team to ensure understanding of product gaps within the industry.
• Attend industry trade conferences and works with key customers on thought leadership pieces.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in Public Affairs, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• 10 years of direct experience in the public sector
• UKG product knowledge
• Experience consulting at a city & county level

Preferred Qualification:
• Experience working with key stakeholders, influencing, and impacting the decision-making process.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and public speaking
• Ability to work collaboratively in a large matrix team environment.
• Ability to travel 75%

Colorado, New York, Washington, and California Pay Law

The pay range for this position in Colorado, New York, Washington and California is $120,200 to $155,000, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.

San Francisco Bay Area Pay Law

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area, the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $138,230.00 to $172,500.00 per year.
