Principal Software QA Engineer (Automation)

Description

We are hiring a software QA professional who would be accountable for the quality of the product by developing and executing test strategies to ensure quality service pack releases.
Ensuring proper functionality and performance of a wide variety of applications and platforms
Successful candidates will be experienced in modern test methodologies and processes executed throughout the software development life cycle and have a proven track record as an individual contributor in a small Agile team environment
A demonstrated ability to deliver quality product releases on schedule using risk analysis and defect containment practices, test automation and continuous improvement initiatives are key to this position
Providing technical expertise to the projects
Responsible & accountable for the quality of the product for the project

Qualifications

IT industry experience working with product companies/top tier services organization
Preference for prior work experience in HCM domain
Software quality assurance experience of object-oriented solutions, REST services, micro-service architecture, test-driven development, and acceptance testing
Experience with C# and .Net Framework design and programming
Experience with testing tools such as xUnit, Selenium, mocking frameworks, etc.
Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Knockout JS and / or Angular is a plus
Experience with continuous deployment, unit testing and automation tools like Jasmine & Selenium
Ability to work with external and/or internal customers to test completed projects against specification requirements
Ability to develop test cases, perform test execution and provide results analysis
Ability to create and execute tests at various levels, including unit, functional and integration
Ability to perform cross-browser testing to validate functionality across supported browsers
Ability to write intermediate SQL Queries
Familiarity with tools used to automate the deployment of an enterprise software solution to the cloud, Concourse, Ansible, etc.
Proficiency with Git as a version control system
Experience in database modeling, relational and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, and techniques/tools such as MySQL, SQL, etc.
Process-oriented with high attention to detail and good follow-through
Ability to communicate information effectively to customers at various organizational levels
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
Good experience in test management tools like ALM, JIRA
Nice to have
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
Experience with Java, Python, etc. is a plus
