    UKG is currently seeking a customer focused, highly energetic, and experienced individual to join our Payment Services Team as a Tax Research Administrator I. This role will assume some of payroll tax related responsibilities, including but not limited to, quarterly and annual reconciliation of wages and taxes and analysis/resolution of payroll tax notices. The qualified candidate will have strong customer service and payroll tax filing experience. The position will demand strong organizational and analytical skills and problem-solving expertise.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Handle basic research steps for basic tax notice types (e.g., Tier 1)
    • Research and resolve payroll tax notices for multi-state tax entities.
    • Aid business units on payroll tax related inquiries.
    • Maintain and update tax notice cases in Salesforce with resolution progress including communication to customers.
    • Assist with various projects as assigned.

    Basic Qualifications:
    • Proficient in Excel and Word
    • Ability to negotiate positive resolutions with customers and payroll tax agencies
    • Proficient working with multiple systems and tools to perform job functions
    • Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment
    • Customer Service skills (e.g., setting and meeting expectations, care & empathy, follow up, etc.)
    • Good oral and written communication skills and above average administrative skills

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or a minimum of 3 years equivalent work experience
    • General accounting knowledge

    • Excellent analytical and follow up skills
    • Good time management skills in order to meet production and aging goals
    • Professionalism - demonstrated ability to interact professionally with others
    • Demonstrated experience performing payroll tax reconciliations and analysis
    • Previous Customer service experience
    • Working knowledge of payroll tax quarterly and annual reconciliations

    The pay range for this position is $34,400 to $49,450, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
