The Capability Manager Care Journey provides support for one of the main workstreams within the UHC 3.0 Manage Health program, engaging members across channels with integrated, relevant care experiences and working in close partnership with leadership and stakeholders. The UHC 3.0 organization addresses member experience across the enterprise striving to deliver value to members by making the health care system work better for them and their families, this organization is evolving what the future of healthcare can be.  The Capability Manager, Manage Care Journey is responsible for the successful definition and delivery of key features of Manage Health experience strategy, functioning as the key link between business and tech. Majority of focus on managing complex technology delivery in a matrixed organization, demonstrating the ability to optimize & continuously improve the delivery system across both agile teams, exemplify solid consulting skills to adapt to changing needs, and leading / ensuring all aspects of delivery are done with quality.  

This position will need solid healthcare business acumen, fluent in technology, have proven track record of success, and demonstrate good listening & communication skills. Success means contributing to teams to realize business value while artfully balancing quality, scope, schedule, and financial expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Development, design, on-going management and administration of experience programs

• Provides implementation support, measurement standards, and revisions as needed that incorporate applicable best practices with proven outcomes

• Break down work to manageable chunks to be consumed by development teams and the key business contact for those same teams

• Develops innovative approaches

• Sought out as expert

• Serves as a leader/ mentor

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

• Experience working with technical teams and digital assets

• Experience developing new capabilities and defining requirements for development teams

• Experience doing and developing strategy for UAT, E2E testing, and quality assurance

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
