Primary Responsibilities:  

• Be a core team member on a 5 person scrum team 

• Build scalable and efficient software solutions using any of the technologies present in our product’s tech stack (Java, Python, Scala, ReactJS, Kafka…) 

• Analyze product requirements and interpret optimal solutions with assistance from Product Owner and other scrum team members

• Receive guidance from more senior engineers on adherence to existing code design best practices 

• Contribute to discussion regarding code design best practices 

• Support DevOps required to achieve Continuous Codebase Integration and Continuous Deployment to production environments 

• Support product stack during outages as a Tier 3 on-call engineer 

• Attend daily and bi-weekly scrum ceremonies to align on Sprint goals and product objectives

• Work cross-functionally and cross-component, being willing to learn and grow by adding stack knowledge as you take on new or unfamiliar features

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in software development
• 2+ years of experience in JavaScript
• 1+ years of experience in Java and Object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience with Relational Databases

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

• Background in computer science

• Exposure to UI/UX Design concepts

• Familiar with ReactJS, NodeJS/Express, data base technologies

• Familiar with GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka

• Familiar with Microservices concepts

• Familiar with Web Portal Testing Frameworks (Jest, Cypress)

• Familiar with TDD
