My Community Connection team is dedicated to addressing health inequity by reducing or removing the non-medical barriers that our members face, resulting in better health outcomes.  Our team is looking for a Senior Healthcare Economics Consultant with dynamic skill sets to provide end-to-end analytics as well as assisting in the operational process of our programs  We are a small team and may be called on to wear different hats from time to time, but with that comes new interesting challenges and many learning opportunities.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage the analytics aspects of a project from end-to-end

• Collect, interpret, and aggregate data from traditional and non-traditional data sources for analytics.

• Measure the impact of our programs

• Study correlations and trends with the goal of finding cost saving or revenue enhancing opportunities

• Create models to find and target the appropriate population for programs.

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to launch programs and clinical studies

• Recognize issues and make recommendations for solutions 

• Provide analytical support within department and across company

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years healthcare analytics experience
• 5+ years mining data and working with large datasets for analytics, extracting, manipulating, and aggregating data from multiple data sources
• 3+ years consulting with business stakeholders and senior leaders determining their analytics needs and goals
• 3+ SQL programming background 
• Advanced Excel skills
• Working knowledge and experience with claims, eligibility, financial and clinical data.  
• Ability to join EST morning team calls
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree
• Experience with UHC claims and financial data warehouses (i.e. SMART, UGAP, Fin360)
• Trend analytics or performing analysis using health data metrics 
• Solid problem solving and analytical skills
• Proactive ability to find and define problems, understand business impact, identify solutions and provide recommendations 
• Ability to independently perform analysis
• Self-motivated and resourceful
• Innovative spirit and adaptable
• Excellent communication skills along with the ability to condense complex information

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
