Position summary
Job Description – Studio Manager
UnitedHealth Group Enterprise Marketing is looking for a Studio Manager for its new state-of-the-art video production studio. This person will work closely with the Operations Manager and the Studio Engineer to manage the studio and its live and pre-recorded events/video productions. This person will organize the scheduling of the studio space, arrange appropriate staffing and ensure studio use is maximized by enterprise partners. This person is an essential team member who needs to be on-site daily.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create and implement deadlines, project goals, expectations, and workflows for studio crew to ensure smooth production
- Maintain the studio schedule and communicate availability to internal/external teams
- Work with facilities and catering services when necessary
- Communicate clearly with project managers to assess and clarify client needs
- Assign appropriate staff and schedule contractors
- Partner with third-party crews when required
- Create systems and processes for internal/external teams to understand studio capabilities/requirements
- Curate libraries of video and branding assets
- Ensure files are stored and named according to protocols
- Oversee storage and maintenance of set pieces
- Create a production budget with the Operations Manager
- Provide input for recruitment and selection decisions
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years' experience in television, agency, or production house studio management
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, strong time management and organization skills
- General knowledge of broadcasting equipment, media servers
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, continuity, shot selection and composition.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to manage various personalities
- Adaptable and flexible in a changing work environment
- Approach tasks and duties with a positive attitude
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing in-house video production studio/broadcast studio
