What you’ll be doing...

As a Lead Big Data/ETL Engineer & Solution Architect, you will orchestrate/design/develop the reusable workflow or frame work on the area of data Transformation, Real Time data transformation, performs tasks connected with data analytics, testing, and system design in the big data & cloud. You will outline the ETL process by setting the borders of data processing, provide ETL design, document the requirements and manage its development cycle, take part in the actual development/testing/implementation of ETL processes. You will lead consultant as Subject Matter Expert over the period of development / maintenance life cycle.

• Provides critical ETL SME support for ETL/Teradata/Big Data/GCP/Cloud – Development, Design and Best Practices. Design, develop, test and implement Bigdata/Cloud ETL processes.
• Provides, design, extract transformation load (ETL) development and data management support for targeted Big Data / Cloud analytics applications.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to source new data, develop schema requirements, and maintain metadata.
• Establishes and maintains effective cross-functional working relationships with other IT groups, (including Production Support, Technical Services etc.), key business partners and external vendors. Represents the AI & Data team on project discussions. Gain the data domain expertise to act as data SME over the period.
• Partners cross-functionally to leverage channel, customer, marketing, and systemic information to bring additional meaning and insights to the customer experience improvement initiatives.
• Ensures projects follow appropriate FD /Agile/ DevOps approach for quality, maintainability and security.
• Delegates responsibilities to team members and supervise the execution of tasks such as development and population of information and testing results with end users. Handover the processes to prod support.
• Works with onshore and VZ India counterparts to delegate responsibilities to team members and supervise the execution of tasks such as development and population of information and testing results with end users.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Teradata/ Big Data / Hadoop development.

Even better if you have:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering or other related field.
• Experience in Cloud (Google Cloud Platform) development.
• Ability to drive communications with diverse groups, and deliver change throughout the organization.
• Lead the team to deliver on time while handling the challenges.
• Ability to go deep on technology trends and architectural questions.
• Strong critical thinking and written / verbal communication.
• Influencing skills with suppliers and customers.
• Strong ability to understand and synthesize tradeoffs, across capabilities and requirements, for different solutions.
