What you’ll be doing...

Business Excellence Consulting Services (BECS)Engagement Managers are internal management consultants - trusted partners to Verizon’s business and functional unit leaders. As a consultant you will collaborate with CFOs, transformation leaders, budget owners, process owners, and their teams. You will apply world-class methodologies and generalist expertise to solve the most impactful business problems and deliver results.

You will be part of a team that includes members with backgrounds from fortune 500 and top external consulting companies from across the globe and from various industries. You will provide an outside-in perspective and challenge the status quo, all while having a stake in the game as Verizon employees and shareholders. BECS makes Verizon’s priorities their priorities and they drive execution and realization of those priorities.

You will provide:

• End-to-End Process Improvement and Design to reimagine the way work is done to realize revenue and unlock cost efficiencies
• Design Thinking and Innovation to grow and scale the business to drive revenue, customer-centricity, employee satisfaction, and a purpose-driven brand
• Program/Project Management and Agile to drive execution plans to differentiate the business and provide exceptional stakeholder experiences

You will build relationships and stakeholder alignment while driving new ways of working.

Through demonstrated business acumen and compelling, concise, communication you will partner with the business to resolve impediments, monitor team performance and dynamics.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• MBA or advanced degree.
• Outstanding quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent attention to details.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize key insights from analyses in presentations, visualizations, and written communications to key clients.
• Proven record of successfully managing client relationships.
• Strong empathy skills combined with self-awareness and maturity.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of comfort working in an unstructured and ambiguous environment.
• Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking and/or Agile certification.
• Experience with Change Management best practices.
• Project management experience and/or certification.
• Track record of handling extremely confidential information appropriately.
• Facilitation, training and coaching expertise.
• Experience with a tier 1 management consulting organization.
• Proven record of contributing to multiple simultaneous projects.
