What you’ll be doing...
Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships across the enterprise to achieve best total value. Includes category management strategies and execution, supplier relationship management, negotiation, risk management and supply base performance management.
Leading global cross-functional teams in the development, communication, and execution of 7 Steps of sourcing.
Managing the Compliance and Data Management Activity which includes Certificate of Insurance, Diversity Certificates, Vetting Process, e-Auctions etc.
Ensuring that category strategies result in and generate roadmaps of savings and value streams, and where appropriate, innovation opportunities.
Delivering customer centric experience through market insights for all sourcing categories.
Supporting the establishment processes and tools to assess the external market and drive deep market insights.
Monitoring of internal customers and supply markets for changes that may impact the sourcing strategy.
Performing the category Intelligence Report for the category management includes SWOT, PESTEL, Krajlic Matrix , SCOR model, Michael Porters 5 Forces Etc.,
Performing market analysis to develop sourcing strategies and identify suppliers which produce the most favorable financial and operational outcomes for internal business partners.
Leading global cross-functional teams through the supplier selection process and for the approval of selected suppliers by stakeholders.
Negotiating planning and contracting with suppliers, ensuring that agreements reflect Verizon’s needs globally.
Executing supplier relationship management activities for key assigned suppliers within the assigned categories with oversight regarding supplier relationship management.
What we’re looking for...
You will need to have
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in a sourcing and contract management process.
Experience in Microsoft word, Excel, Power point.
Experience in one or more of the following categories with proven delivery of cost savings reduction program: Information Technology / Network, Network, Professional Services/ Staff Augmentation, HR Services, Marketing Services, Resale Category.
Even better if you have
Master's degree or four or more years of experience in a sourcing and contract management process.
Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrate by practical examples
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good planning/project management skills.
Strong negotiating skills.
Ability to gain a fact based understanding of current vendor base, vendor economics and major trends in relevant markets.
Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills for both internal and external relationships.
Distinctive leadership – willing to make tough/unpopular decisions, but well respected by internal and external business leaders.
Willingness to challenge “conventional” thinking.
Self-starter and independent worker – able to juggle priorities.
Able to work in a dual reporting matrix environment and aggressively take the lead on implementation of savings opportunities that affect numerous lines of business.
Successful, multi-year track record in a complex, multinational Sourcing organization.
IPSCM or CPSM or an equivalent certification, International languages.
