What you’ll be doing...

You will be part of Verizon Consumer Group which supports the Enterprise customers and will play a critical role in enabling and delivering key programs for Wireless Enterprise customers and transforming programs. You’ll assume complete ownership of and lead the execution of the development and delivery of NBS backend components. You’ll architect designs for user stories and to improve Bill vs NBS match percentage. Other responsibilities associated with the position include:

• Developing/Enhancing API in Java Spring Boot framework, driving mismatch analysis, collaborating with project leads and business stakeholders for necessary clarification.
• Optimizing team member productivity by mentoring them.
• Assigning and tracking team member deliverables.
• Working with the team to understand repeated manual tasks and pain points so that an automated solution can be built to reduce manual work.
• Analyzing architecture, relationships between systems and systems flow to ensure alignment with the desired end-user experience.
• Planning, tracking, and reporting of complex projects, establishing clear roadmaps for project delivery, and identifying areas for improvement.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Two or more years of experience with billing and NBS domains.
• At least one year of experience with Java, Spring Boot, SQL, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with Enterprise-level container-based systems (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience supporting Microservice and Cloud-native applications in a CI/CD automated application environment with multiple partners and use cases.
• Experience with observability / logging - Grafana, NewRelic, kafka.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A degree.
• Recent experience of Java frameworks/libraries and SQL database.
• Experience working with REST and SOAP in a production environment.
• AWS certification.
• The ability to manage databases (e.g., Oracle, Cassandra) and write optimized queries that help in debug and development.
• Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• The ability to solve problems systematically and with a sense of ownership, commitment, and dedication.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team with direct responsibilities.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changes in project scope.
• The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teammates and internal clients.
