Role Summary/Purpose

The Business Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This position will drive critical KPIs in safety, quality, and delivery for a section of our Mining Machine Shop facility. This involves integrating and developing manufacturing processes that meet business needs, manage complex and personnel issues, be involved in short and long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans to ensure the team meets schedule commitments and ensure production flow
• Analyze production labor requirements, implementing appropriate capacity decisions within the department's budget and manage farmout suppliers
• Drive key initiatives including EHS, Six Sigma, shop productivity, lean, and inventory cycle reductions
• Champion WMS Teaming culture, drive employee contributions and accountability
• This role will lead both exempt and direct, HRLY paid team members and will demonstrate leadership in problem resolution, resource utilization, and career counseling. This role will engage with direct staff on three shifts – First and second shifts (Monday through Thursday, 4-day work week, 10-hour shifts) and weekend shift (Friday through Sunday, 3-day work week, 12-hour shifts)

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing experience with increasing responsibility
• This is a site-based position and requires the employee to work on-site

Desired Characteristics

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Engineering
• Previous experience with CNC machining, heavy equipment manufacturing, electrical assembly, welding and/or fabrication
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Inclusive leader able to work in a cross-functional environment and engage functional stakeholders including HR, Finance, and EHS
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify critical issues and identify the root cause of complex issues
• Strong propensity for excelling in a demanding environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
