The Construction Manager is responsible for providing expert advice and recommendations on business opportunities and implementation of project plans to ensure design, technical, construction and quality standards are achieved safely within allocated time and budget parameters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote and ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management systems are implemented and adhered to;
  • Identification, evaluation and business development of engineering and construction activities;
  • Liaison with statutory bodies in respect of acquisition and developmental projects;
  • Coordinating activities across engineering and construction projects;
  • Setting and Managing the budget of engineering and construction projects;
  • Reporting on Construction team performance as directed and required; and
  • Foster the culture of the Victorian Business Unit whilst developing individual and team competence.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent;
  • Substantial experience and proven track record of delivering projects on time and budget within the construction industry;
  • Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite and Project Pro; and
  • Experience in a Rail Environment (preferred).
