Summary:

The BI (Business intelligence) team is part of the Data and Analytics department. The team's mission is to provide business functions with data-driven insight and access to data in near real-time. This position will have responsibilities to develop and maintain solutions to meet business needs. The position requires someone to design and build QlikView / Qlik Sense application for the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely under supervision of a project manager on the following phases of development:
  • Perform detailed analysis of source systems and source system data and model that data in QlikView / Qlik Sense Design, develop, and test QlikView / Qlik Sense scripts to import data from source systems and test QlikView / Qlik Sense dashboards to meet customer requirements
  • Create and maintain technical design documentation
  • Perform quality coding to business and technical specifications
  • Work directly with business units to define and prototype QlikView / Qlik Sense Applications.
  • Extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources into QlikView / Qlik Sense applications
  • Provide input on proposing, evaluating, and selecting appropriate design alternatives which meet client requirements and are consistent with the client's current standards and processes.
  • Perform Qlikview upgrades and new installation; hence should have good familiarity with Qlikview Publisher and QMC.
  • Create business cases for potential development projects, employing cost and benefit analysis techniques where appropriate
  • Good in Creating reports with QlikView NPrinting
  • Manage and monitor the QlikView/Qlik Sense Server
  • Manage access and security of the Qlik apps
• Follow ITIL processes for deployment of code to Pre-Prod and Prod environments
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications_:_

• University degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience developing QlikView/Qlik Sense applications is required
• The candidate should have 5-10 years of experience developing QlikView/Qlik Sense dashboarding solutions
• Ability to speak and write in English

• Good knowledge on the QlikView/Qlik Sense administration and development work
• Advocate and promote Business Insights standards, processes, and tools.
• Share industry and market intelligence as well as digital technology research and trends.
• Knowledge of and ability to develop multidimensional modeling and data integration solutions
• Good understanding of Data warehousing and analytics techniques
• Flexibility and demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies when the need arises
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Organized and rigorous with respect to development work and processes
• Ability to make proposals and have a real desire to work on strategic projects
• Dynamic, conscientious, autonomous, shows great team spirit and proactivity
• Ability to work with only moderate amount of supervision
• Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create solutions.
• Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process, procedures and behaviors as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Nice to have skills and abilities:
  • Knowledge of other ETL technologies (Informatica)
  • Knowledge of other visualization tools (OBIEE, PowerBI)
  • Knowledge of a ITIL application (ServiceNow)
  • Knowledge of others DBMS (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
  • Knowledge of OS (Linux, Unix, Windows)
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft productivity tools such as Power Apps

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• This position is one that would require the Employee to be present in the office a few days per week as agreed to by HR and/or his/her manager.  However, this position can also be accomplished remotely from the employee’s home some portion of their time if they have the permission of their management to do so.
• This position will require the employee to maintain hours during a typical day to overlap with team members and business users around the world with special attention to people in the time zones of India, Paris, and the Eastern U.S.
• This position will likely require the employee to travel a few times annually to physically meet with management and team members.
