Key missions of the position:

A demand manager is responsible for forecasting and planning the supply of products or services. They work with a variety of stakeholders to determine what will be needed in the future, when it will be needed, and how much will be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a constant relationship with the Sales, Finance, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Engineering teams to understand and capture the demand forecasting drivers.
• Challenge the forecasts from the stake holders and the usual runs ( historical data, market trends, Budgets, market dynamics, Customer business plan) with relevant data analysis.
• Drive forecast accuracy
• Coordinate the customer projects with supply planning.
• Tune the forecast and inventory rules/MRP set ups according to the demand and market trends/dynamics
• Analyse qty and financial forecast
• Drive Demand review and SIOP meetings with internal stake holders for a planning horizon of 18 months.
• Monitor, Analyse and drive convergences and divergences versus the business plan/sales budget.
• Prepare short term sales forecast.
• Capture customer demand and schedule Distribution orders in the MRP after each Demand review cycle.
• Provide Order acknowledgements to the customer and drive internally to meet and or exceed customer supply expectations.
• MIS on sales and Demand (Firm+ Forecasts)
• Drive and achieve Demand planning KPIs

Required Candidate Profile

Education/Training

• Any Bachelor’s Degree
• Knowledge of Demand planning and inventory planning
• Proficient in MS tools (EXCEL, PPT etc)
• Good Communication skills in English
• Good knowledge of any ERP/Planning Module – Preferred knowledge of M3 ERP
• Proficient in SIOP process.
• Exposure to Sales Force applications will be an added advantage.
• Talent Management (coach, train, develop and retain).
• A quick learner and aptitude of IT applications/tools

Professional Experience: 7- 10 years
