Assemble, wire and install various electrical control boxes. Troubleshoot electronic circuits.
Work with other team members on various projects.
Lay out and build control boxes according to drawings and schematics.
Assemble and build various components for rail equipment.
Install electrical components and complete machine build with emphasis on quality.
Replace and install wiring on new and used equipment.
Troubleshoot and correct wiring errors.
Test and troubleshoot various electrical equipment.
Prepare components and equipment for shipping.
Rebuild machinery, repair, reassemble, and adjust machine as necessary.
Keep tools, equipment and work area clean and orderly. Work in a safe manner.
Plan assembly and wiring sequence for point to point, direct or harness wiring.
Education/Experience: H.S. Diploma or equivalent along with a minimum of 5 years of experience with similar responsibilities. Trade school and/or college classes may be substituted for experience.
Skills**:**
Knowledge of direct and alternating current.
Knowledge of Ohm’s Law.
Ability to work long hours and some weekends.
Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics.
Knowledge of hand tools and their proper use.
Ability to use electric or pneumatic tools safely.
Safely drive forklift using proper guidelines.
Ability to layout, drill and tap holes.
Knowledge of electrical wiring skills.
Knowledge of wiring electrical boxes, panels and circuit breaker boards.
Knowledge of basic electrical components such as wiring, fittings, tools.
