Summary:

Wabtec is looking for a Tanium Engineer to join our Global IT Digital Workplace (DWP) team. The DWP team focuses on packaging software, patching computers, and applying policies to end-user devices across our global workforce.

The Tanium Engineer will focus on the Tanium platform as it relates to IT operations in the DWP space. Wabtec uses Tanium for a variety of applications including Asset Management, Software Management, Patch Management, Software Deployments, Compliance Information and Remediation, Bare Metal Provisioning, Reporting, and Policy Enforcement. The engineer will work closely with other DWP members and members of other IT departments to ensure that DWP is meeting the needs of IT and the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work closely with the Wabtec IT Security team on security initiatives.

· Package and deploy software using Tanium

· Be an escalation point for all Tanium related issues

· Work with the Service Delivery teams to drive changes in Tanium to improve the end user experience

· Work with Tanium teams supporting other areas of IT to ensure consistency across the broader Tanium platform

· Drive improvements in the Provisioning space

· Innovate within Tanium and other DWP areas of influence

· Interface with Tanium TAM to implement new features within Tanium

· Off-hours work will occasionally be required to support projects and initiatives

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

· 5+ years’ experience in an IT operations role

· Willingness to work off-hours as need arises

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Knowledge of Endpoint Management Tools. Existing knowledge of Tanium is a plus

· PowerShell scripting

· Project Management

· Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines

· Proven ability to learn and develop solutions

· Ability to analyze data and solve complex problems

· Critical thinking skills

· Clear communication skills – both written and verbal
