Due to significant growth in the Western Australian region, we are looking for an enthusiastic Field Technical Services Lead to represent our field services function in Western Australia.  The role will be responsible for co-ordinating all field services work in the region including on new projects, existing service level agreements, product demonstrations and trials and technical input into tenders.  This role reports to the Service Delivery Manager and will work side by side with our Perth based Sales Director to provide a complete local service to our existing and new customers.

It will be a requirement of the role to travel to mine sites in your region on an ad hoc basis to maintain a strong presence with the team and effective working relationships with the customers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Provide wing-to-wing management of large, complex, equipment installation and commissioning projects within the WA region with a strong focus on safety, customer satisfaction and cost efficiencies.
  • Co-ordinate with the  fulfillment team to ensure equipment delivery to your customer committed dates and to projected margins.
  • Help determine the optimal project delivery strategy and provide input to project proposals.
  • Ability to Assess, Manage and Report on  Critical Risk in the  planning and performance of site services.
  • Prepare quotations for existing CAS installed base relating to ongoing service contracts and CAS installations related to mine site HV / LV fleet changes.
  • Co-ordinate delivery of service contracts and orders to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Management and reporting to management on project and service agreements schedule and margin.
  • Coordinating internal and external resources to ensure projects and scheduled work are appropriately resourced to ensure commitments are met.
  • Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five or more years’ experience, and one or several formal qualifications.
  • HD Auto electrical trade background/qualifications and or experience would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in successful delivery or key role participation  of Operational Technology projects for Industrial or Mining customers.
  • An ability to develop effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Effective Negotiation skills.
  • Commercial and business awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Experience in authoring project documentation and or report writing.
  • Project Scheduling experience.
  • A keen eye for detail and need to do the job right the first time.
  • Ability to adhere to time constraints.
  • Previous experience in mining will be looked on favorably.
  • Electronics/software experience also an advantage.
