Summary:

The HR Operations Associate Specialist is part of the HR Shared Services Team. The role provides operational and system support for employee lifecycle transactions in Kazakhstan. The Associate Specialist executes assigned HR Operations processes, ensures compliance with the local labor legislation while closely working with the HR Operations Sr. Specialist and HR Operations Specialist to ensure strong customer service to the business and to drive efficiency by improving operational processes and procedures.

  • Execute assigned HR Operations processes in compliance with Kazakhstan labor law (employee life cycle, HR transactions, data maintenance, time and attendance, and more).
  • Provide timely and high-quality operational support for assigned HR Operations processes.
  • Act as a point of contact for stakeholders regarding assigned HR Operations processes and procedures.
  • Manage and conduct employee lifecycle transactions in Workday and 1C.
  • Handle ticketing assignments.
  • Perform data audits to ensure quality and accuracy of transactions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with local HR leaders.
  • Partner with third party for the assigned processes (i.e., payroll vendors, medical insurance, life insurance, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR Ops processes and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Keep up to date with internal and external updates and changes including legislative changes and best practices.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ progressive experience in Human Resources, preferably in a Shared Services environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan Labor Legislation, Data Privacy Laws and other applicable laws and legislations required.
  • Experience working within HR systems, preferably Workday and 1C.
  • Experience working with a ticketing system, preferably ServiceNow.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables & charts, vlookups).
  • Fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English are required.
