Scope/Job Objective

As a Software Engineer, your main responsibility will be to design and develop software for a variety of products and services, with a particular focus on embedded platforms. You will utilize your domain experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and contribute to the achievement of short-term and long-term business goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the broader engineering team to create optimal software/firmware solutions for desktop and embedded products.
  • Perform software system decomposition and design, defining interfaces and test cases.
  • Design, implement, and test software/firmware, ensuring requirements and quality standards are met.
  • Program in C++ and utilize the QT framework for multi-threaded, multi-process applications, components, and interfaces.
  • Develop Java-based Android applications.
  • Utilize QT for Android application development.
  • Work closely with the S/W Team Lead and Test Team to ensure development meets the required specification.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of industrial experience working with embedded software/industrial communication products.
  • Strong expertise in the following areas:
    • Proficiency in C++ and experience with the QT framework for desktop and embedded systems.
    • Experience developing Java-based Android applications.
    • Familiarity with serial communication protocols.
    • Knowledge of networking and industrial Ethernet-based communication protocols.
    • Understanding of the Telematics domain is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of industrial Ethernet, WiFi, and LTE data networks.
    • Experience with tools such as GIT, Rally, and Agile development methodologies.
