What to Expect in LEAD (Leadership, Expertise & Accelerated Development):

 The LEAD Engineering Program is a 2-year rotational program that allows you choose areas of interest and develop your skill sets. LEAD consists of four, 6-month rotations that are intended to provide a broad exposure to the engineering and digital functions leading to successful off program placement in a role that will launch your Wabtec career. You can focus on some of the industry’s most exciting trends in systems, controls, alternative fuels, motors, cooling, testing, signaling, core electronics, network & logistics, embedded software, additive and more. This program also emphasizes continuous education through advanced studies in partnership with Penn State University as well as in-house courses & workshops.

But that’s not all! Your program experience will include leadership and technical training, contributions to program operations, exposure to senior leadership, and development of a lifelong network of professionals and friends.

Locations:

 Individuals joining the program in the US have the opportunity to rotate among our domestic business locations in Erie, PA and Melbourne, FL. L

Relocation lump sum is provided to get you where you need to go

Requirements - We are looking for:

• Four-year technical degree with ABET Accreditation in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, & other related technical degrees.
• Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 (based upon 4.0 scale)
• Graduating by December 2022/January 2023 or May/June 2023
• Willingness and ability travel and/or relocate with the United States for assignments
• Prior intern or co-op experience
• Open to applicants legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• A strong commitment to a career in technology with a passion and aptitude for engineering and/or software
• General understanding of engineering, software and/or manufacturing fundamentals with desire to continue learning
• Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in engineering, software, or relevant area
• Solve technical challenges through regular application of common design patterns and identify appropriate patterns for use in problem solving
• Strong customer focus, ability to understand the value proposition for the customer, and commitment to deliver the best value proposition
• Demonstrated program / project management skills working on and leading teams
• Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms, strong analytical skills
• Contributes to creative solutions and challenges the status quo
• Proactively learns new tools and identifies opportunities for improvement and promotes their adoption
