1. PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provides office support to maintenance operations at the plant. This role will be responsible for the ordering of parts and materials, tracking of maintenance schedules, devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures, and operations using the site maintenance software and other tasks associated with coordinating and supporting maintenance operations at the plant.   

2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source materials and replacement parts for maintenance, repair, and operations
  • Oversee the maintenance planning software, including assigning work to maintenance department
  • Schedule major maintenance projects
  • Set up and maintain a complete preventative maintenance system that includes frequency, detailed descriptions of actions, replacement part numbers, vendors and drawings/pictures as needed.
  • Handle billing/payment of maintenance contractors
  • In charge of storing and organization of maintenance documents such as manuals, drawings, and purchase orders
  • Attend production meetings to understand equipment needs and schedules
  • Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned

3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE  

Minimum education, job experience, certifications, skills, knowledge, and abilities that incumbent must typically have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Advanced level of experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and Internet.  Strong proficiency with computers.

4. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS

This position is required on-site and will not involve remote work.

Type, amount, and frequency of physical effort typically required to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably; including the work positions in which the effort is applied, with or without a reasonable accommodation. 

Duties of job will include extended time in tool inventory room, maintenance shop and on the plant floor. Not all the operational plant floor is climate controlled. Must be comfortable in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Self-motivated to organize and strategize inventory processes.

Must be able to lift 35 pounds or more on a frequent basis.
