As Manager Supply Chain you are responsible for creating the most effective and efficient chain of goods and services from the supplier to the customer or end consumer within our company. You are continuously analyzing and improving related (planning) processes whereby the stock within our company should be kept as low as possible. All this on the condition that the demand of the customers of the company can be met at all times. Some of your tasks are:
Predicting future demand as accurately as possible
Drawing up and monitoring short- and medium-term production and purchasing plans
Optimizing the cooperation between procurement, operations, planning and logistics
Analyzing and optimizing processes and system design
Preparation of reports related to performance (with or with recommendations)
Maintaining relationships with external service providers in the field of transport and storage
Manage improvement projects on Lean, digital operations and guarantee the deliverables of
those projects
Managing your team with 2 Plant Buyers, 3 Operational Buyers and 2 Production planners. Also the Manager Warehousing & Logistics reports directly to you, with approximately 20 employees in his scope.
Skills and education
5 years of relevant work experience with logistics, operational and/or other processes
relevant to supply chain management, supplemented by a logistical, economic or business
education like Business administration or Supply Chain Management
Factual knowledge and experience in the fields of Lean, Digital Industry
Improvement/Change and Project management;
Proven records in a High Mix /Low volume Supply Chain environment
Ability to develop and stimulate people and team leadership skills
Pragmatic, proactive and customer-oriented work style
Flexible attitude to respond to changing situations and environments

You report to the Operations Manager and you are part of the Operational Management Team.
