Role Summary/Purpose:

The materials/planning specialist provides materials management expertise to the operations team in addition to maintaining inventory accuracy, work order consumption, and ordering of direct materials. In this role, you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, drive process adherence, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to affect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the technical teams to forecast and avoid part shortages impacting operation, escalating issues, and communicating to the operations teams as necessary.
  • Own all internal planning and ordering of direct materials locally and globally.
  • Follow up internal orders with Buyers and follow the escalation process to ensure the availability of materials on time.
  • Support stocks accuracy at the warehouse with zero deviation.
  • Responsible on follow up parts shipping process since delivery at US warehouse till final delivery at Egypt Warehouse
  • Support with Customs Broker Management
  • Apply EHS standards.
  • Meet inventory targets including month-end and quarter-close processes for inventory in addition to achieving a high level of accuracy during yearly physical inventory.
  • Meet transportation budget and avoid air freights.
  • Work as part of a cross functional team, driving a "one team" focus, dedicated to customer success within the shop.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Planning experience minimum 2 years.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Access is a plus.
  • Oracle knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluent English
