The Mechanical Engineer – High Voltage Equipment Arrangement will be responsible for the mechanical design and arrangement of high voltage equipment and related control devices used in the electric drive systems of industrial transportation products such as locomotives. 

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field

• A minimum of 6-10 years of demonstrated experience in the field of electronics mechanical packaging and thermal design.

• Ability to travel 10% of the time.

What will be your key responsibilities?

In this role the engineer will be responsible for the structural design of the locomotive cab structure in which high voltage electrical equipment is arranged.  Provide the layout design for electrical equipment to support electrical function, harnessing and cabling, thermal management requirements, with consideration to manufacturability and serviceability. Lead and execute structural validation of new equipment arrangements and related sheet metal cab enclosures.
