NextGen Services Program Manager

Our Freight Services Division provides locomotive maintenance services to our customers, including technical advisory and materials management, helping them keep their locomotives running at optimal levels.

The NextGen Services Program Manager is a critical and innovative role that will oversee the implementation of the next generation of freight services product offerings and MSA/TRMSA contract designs. This role will lead a team of subject matter experts to design and deliver a final suite of product offerings that will be the framework for future fright services contracts and value-add services for our customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Set timelines for project milestones and ensure the team meets and exceeds the expectations and deliverables for the project
  • Communicate with all stakeholders on project updates, any potential risks to delivery, and all other relevant information in a timely and efficient manner
  • Prepare and present project updates to Wabtec senior executives and external customers, explaining deeply detailed data to support the product design and value of the suite of products
  • Understand commercialization opportunities and triggers within the MSA/TSRMA contracts and build those opportunities into the next generation contract design  
  • Understand and leverage data from operations, materials, quality, digital, and other functional areas to develop a wholistic and all-encompassing service offering
  • Conduct and present deep analysis and understanding of operational data to support proposed offerings and final product design
  • All other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in an operations leadership, project management, reliability, and/or commercial related role within the locomotive industry
  • Extensive experience with data analysis tools and processes
  • Successful previous experience developing detailed presentations for high level executive summaries, briefings, and/or commercial pitches
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to freight services locations

Desired Characteristics:

  • Applicable consulting work experience in an operations and systems environment
  • Deep knowledge of Wabtec freight services contract designs, quality metrics, materials & financial functions, and operations tempo
  • Successful previous experience serving on or with the BNSF services account team and extensive working knowledge of their mechanical operations temp
  • The ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance
  • A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
