Key Aim:

Fully manage the NPR ordering process whilst also identifying purchasing projects which result in cost reductions and supply chain improvements 

Key Duties & Tasks:

·Manage the requisition process for all non-production purchasing in Birkenhead and associated sites

·Ensure requisitions are in line with budget expectations, per cost centre, through reports generated through Easyflow

·Create purchase orders into the MRP system in accordance with company requirements

·Liaise with suppliers to expedite delivery of products against lead times

·Liaise and keep internal colleagues updated on progress of purchase orders

·Ensure all purchase orders go through the correct authorisation process

·Assist internal departments with quotations from the supplier

·Ensure all invoices are reconciled and returned to finance in a timely manner

·Order stationery supplies and maintain stock levels. Monitor stationery room.

·Lead projects specific to NPR purchasing for Wabtec Faiveley UK sites

·Take the lead in multiple-site supplier negotiations for Wabtec Faiveley UK sites

·Take ownership of site savings plan and generate further opportunities to reduce cost

·Increase supplier contract coverage for BKH and associated sites with NPR suppliers

·Where possible consolidate the NPR supplier base

·Ensure processes and procedures are followed for NPR purchasing

·Identify methods of improvement within NPR purchasing

·Provide the necessary KPI reports using PRISM

·Learn and adopt best practices

·Comply with Company Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental and personnel policies and procedures.

·Carry out any other reasonable duty or task as instructed by your manager in pursuit of Wabtec Faiveley’s goals and objectives.

5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade A including English Language and Mathematics

CIPS Qualified or working towards
