The Part Sales Collections and Warranty Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the business-to-business processes for over-the-counter part sales and warranty claims. These responsibilities include ownership of establishing sustainable systems to invoice and collect payments on time, process warranty and other duties related to the execution of the Long-Term Parts Agreement.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

Single Point of Contact for over-the-counter sales transactions.

Owns day to day responsibility and development for over-the-counter sales invoicing, collections and warranty claims to include:

  • Managing execution per contract terms and business targets.
  • Formulate, organize, and monitor multiple projects at once.
  • Highlights recurring past due issues to focus Wabtec business efforts.
  • Analysis on spend trends, support the broader team in reporting activities.

Integrate with Customer Experience Leaders (CXL), Service Operations and the Commercial teams, including:

  • Liaising with Comm Ops team for successful ITO to OTR handoff ensuring contract terms and conditions are executed.
  • Translate customer needs / requirements into project plans while driving internal execution to meet project targets.

Participate directly with customer in support of resolving warranty disputes and over the counter payment collections

Lead projects and process changes required to incorporate Legacy Wabtec Business units into Services P&L

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Experience in Oracle ERP systems.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and oral, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Basic knowledge of Wabtec products and systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Professionally represent Wabtec at all times, but especially during all customer communications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Accustomed to working unsupervised and under pressure, dealing with conflicting demands.
  • Willingness to undertake the many varied duties vital to this position and keen to adopt new challenges.
  • Manage time effectively and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence

Work Environment:  The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.  Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud nose.
