Mission

Key missions of the position:

Product & System design of locomotive Brake systems (Pneumatic Panels, Pneumatic Valves, Drilled Manifolds, etc..)

Product & System design of EMU/MEMU/Coach Brake systems (Pneumatic Panels, Pneumatic Valves, Drilled Manifolds, etc.)

Product Engineers are the primary technical resource and are responsible for actively driving and managing project specific design, development, and validation. They will also work on New Product Introduction. Working in conjunction with the RAMS and Testing teams, as the key technical advisor and product advocate, the Product Engineer must be able to design reliable solutions meeting cost and reliability targets.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

• Design feasibility Analysis
• Develop 3D / 2D concepts
• Adherence to Product Development Cycle
• Manage Product level requirements and compliances
• Conduct Design Reviews
• Prepare DFMECA
• Collaborate with RAMS team for FTA, Safety, Reliability and LCC assessments
• Prepare Validation Plan, Specifications and Reports
• Understanding of Design principles and Standardization
• Continuous Improvements to improve product reliability and reduce LCC
• Ensure compliance to global standards and applications
• Able to study, interpret and prepare detailed pneumatic schemes
• Able to understand electrical schemes
• Able to perform hand calculations
• Able to carry-out O-ring calc, Diaphragm calc, Spring calc, Bolt calc, Pressure vessel calc, etc..
• Own and manage Design deliverables with First Time Right approach and ensure OTD
• Travelling to Field for Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Troubleshooting activities
• Establish Communication with global product teams
• Innovation and Creative thinking
• Knowledge on DFM, DFA, DFSS
