Every day brings new excitement as a Manager of Production for Wabtec Bus Solutions.  You’ll be on the front line helping a team run production lines for some of the biggest names in the transportation industry.  But most importantly, you’ll get to work with some remarkable people!

Some of the job responsibilities of this position would include:

• Develop, Training and Lead employees to help them strengthen and improve their skills to keep in line with corporate, division and employee goals.
• Leading Daily/weekly production meetings,
• Developing and maintain manufacturing operations business plans,
• Establishing production and quality control standards,
• Developing budget and cost controls, and
• Obtaining data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.

Qualified candidate would also provide guidance to the development of a manufacturing process capacity plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs. 

Must have knowledge of:

• Continuous Improvement Process
• Lean Manufacturing Methods, Kanban
• Knowledge of 5S and Kaizen
• Knowledge of Harness Assemblies, mechanical and electromechanical assemblies

Minimum Qualifications for this position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or operations management or equivalent, or four to six years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
