Quality Assurance Inspector I

SUMMARY

Reports to Quality Assurance Manager

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs and documents dimensional and visual inspections at incoming inspection
• Ability to read mechanical / electrical drawings and inspection instructions to determine specifications.
• Basic working knowledge of geometric tolerance measurements (GD&T)
• Process proper documentation and data collections from receiving inspection and/or final inspection including, but not limited to, Oracle entries, Inspection entries, NCM entries, and scanning of documentation packages.
• Knowledge & use of basic measuring tools. Minimum of calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, height gauges & multi-meters.
• Other duties as required

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 2 years in a similar position
• A minimum of 2 years in Transportation or similarly regulated industry.

OTHER REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

• Computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint, & MRP systems

COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES

• Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment a plus 
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a team player and have exceptional communication skills,
• Ability to represent our company in a professional manner
