Summary:

Quality Coordinators may be required to do any or all of the following functions.  Timeliness, accuracy, and schedule flexibility are crucial.  Minimal opportunities for remote work.

To be successful in this position, the Quality Coordinator must constantly be looking for ways to streamline processes, while maintaining positive customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Management

  • Collaborate with Product Quality Engineers and customers to ensure all requirements for release of product are documented and approved.   Lead or assist in preparation of release packages for customers.  Requires learning and remembering a large amount of customer-specific information.   Excel, Word, Oracle, and ECM use required.  Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy is critical.  Must be able to address shifting priorities and flex work schedule with little notice.

Compliance Management

  • Interview WPT directors to generate/calculate Key Process Indicators (KPIs).  Facilitate monthly conference call to review performance.  Issue Corrective Actions as needed.  Requires ability to communicate in a professionally manner, both verbally and in writing.  Meeting facilitation skills and rudimentary TEAMs knowledge is required. 
  • Perform audits as assigned.  Facilitate weekly review of audits and report on findings.  Issue Corrective Actions (CARs) as needed.  Knowledge of Audit and Corrective Action methodology is needed, as well as an intermediate-level use of Reliance software.
  • Perform document control duties for site.  Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency needed to shape work instructions, procedures, and forms into approved formats.  Responsible for control of external documentation as well.  Requires Intermediate knowledge of ECM software.

Problem-Solving

  • Identify and lead corrective action projects throughout processes to eliminate defects and improve productivity
  • Lead resolution of customer issues while adhering to established processes and maintaining a professional attitude
  • Serve as site administrator and resolve technical issues in several databases:  Reliance, Webport, ECM

General

  • Schedule department work to accommodate business needs

  • Support and participate in internal and external audits as required

  • Purchase supplies as requested

  • Other duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree preferred.
  • Experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is necessary
  • Applicant must be familiar with, or willing to become familiar with, IRIS, AAR, and other quality standards

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Required to maintain flexibility in work schedule to accommodate business needs - hours may fluctuate between 35-50 hours each week
  • Maintain a very high degree of accuracy in data entry
  • Be able to work in a high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Applicant must possess or be willing to achieve a wide breath of knowledge using the following software packages:

Elementary Level

  • Microsoft Teams
  • SharePoint

Intermediate Level

  • Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Oracle
  • Convergence

Expert Level

  • Reliance
  • ECM
  • Webport

Authority:

  • Authorize or deny warranty services to customers
  • Purchasing authority up to $250
  • All WPT employees have the authority to stop the process they are performing, should the process become unsafe or the outputs nonconforming.

Physical Demands:

  • Walking/standing for short periods of time are required

Work Environment:

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with close proximity to other employees. Prolonged computer use is required. 
  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to cold or hot/humid weather conditions.  Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.  Safety glasses or prescription glasses with side shields, and steel-toed shoes will be required.  Ear plugs are required in some areas.
