Description:

Facilitate the monitoring and improvement of internal (manufacturing) product and process quality for the Kansas City Traction Motor Combo Repair facility.  Quality Technicians will constantly review product for missed defects and facilitate corrective and preventive action when defects are found.   Quality Technicians will also perform processes to Qualify/Audit Manufacturing Technicians. 

Monday to Friday 1:30pm to 10pm

Responsibilities:

Finished goods inspection and in-process product auditing. Document missed operations (quality defects) for corrective action purposes (DMR’s) Perform Manufacturing Technician Qualification reviews and complete Qualification documentation- audit Manufacturing Technicians for compliance to procedures. Records administration. Quality Alert inspection. Assistance on Level-One and Derail Inspections This position cover quality position absences Assist with creation of buddy packet, QA job qualifications, and EE training Responsible for the calibration of equipment and tracking Person need to be flexible to work different times outside of the normally schedule shift times.   (May require a split shift to perform all duties.)

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge/experience of Motor and Wheel Line Processes. 

  • Experience of AC/DC Motor line processes is most important. 

  • Working knowledge of use of inspection measurement equipment.

  • Must have experience with MS Office.
