We are looking for our site in Bochum for a Sales Manager (d/f/m) with a solid technical background, a high motivation to work in the Railway Industry and enhanced skills to cover Sales and Commercial activities for our main DACH customer.
 
Your tasks will include, among others:

  • Developing concrete strategies for train brakes business unit to open up further markets within the DACH region (e.g. train manufactures, transport companies, public authorities, etc.)
  • Shaping trustful and reliable business relationships with our Customers
  • Systematic planning and implementation of sales campaigns, also involving common social media channels (e.g. Linkedin)
  • Preparation and execution of product and offer presentations focusing on value add selling in cooperation with the marketing and engineering departments
  • Planning and implementation of regional specialist events or participation in such
  • Preparation of market and competition analyses
  • Coordination of the full tender process from market opportunity identification to Order Intake with project management, engineering and tender team
  • Preparation of offer calculations and commercial offers
  • Responsibility for budget planning process including sales and order foreasting

 
As Sales Manager you are successfully managing our sales and commercial activities based a target-oriented, quality and cost-conscious way of working. You are the first contact to our demanding local and international customers. With the support of our engineering team, you create customer-oriented solutions, introducing innovative and technically sophisticated products and services.

We require for this position:

  • Study in the field of mechanical or electrical engineering is desirable; technical training is an alternative or additional

  • More than 5 years of experience in sales, project management or engineering of technical sophisticated products

  • Profound technical knowledge

  • Proficiency or native German

  • Foreign languages: very good written and spoken English

  • Secure handling of MS-Office products and CRM applications (e.g. Salesforce)

For this position we expect a cooperative, responsible and methodical way of working as well as a personal enthusiasm for customers, products and markets. A pronounced commitment with high self-motivation and a customer-oriented view is needed as well as good negotiation skills and assertiveness. Working in an intercultural team with matrix organisation is completing the picture and includes as well travelling up to 2 days per week in DACH region.
