The Senior Analog Engineer will lead the analog circuit development efforts at Wabtec.  Develop analog circuits for the FPGA or microprocessor-based control, processing and communications solutions in an embedded real-time control environment utilizing current technology and analysis tools.  Work with electronics hardware, firmware, software, system teams to define product requirements and develop product roadmap for innovation. 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience designing analog systems. 

  • Demonstrated experience in life cycle of hardware product development, verification and validation in a locomotive vehicle or engine control unit.

  • Experience developing analog filter of lowpass, high pass, band pass with basic and multi pole design. Understand the sensor interfacing including scaling and noise performance. 

  • Excellent design experience with the analog input scaling and conditioning for input to A to D, including prediction of tolerance errors. 

What will be your key responsibilities?

In this role the engineer performs lab test evaluating analog to digital performance, including processing capture digital data for DC offset, gain, noise, and step response. Guide the PCB Layout for EMI/EMC, signal integrity and power integrity.  Participate in design reviews related to assigned projects.  Lead field issue resolution, provide manufacturing support and set up production test definition.  Establish design and quality methods, specifications, documentation, verification, simulations, best practices and analog design standards.  Design for lifetime support, intellectual property management and obsolescence mitigation.
