SUMMARY
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties. Facilitates the transition of new products from design through manufacturing, and to develop and implement process improvements for existing product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop equipment specifications, manufacturing processes, cell/plant layouts for Wabtec Aluminum Brazed Heat Exchanger product line and Copper Grommeted Tube radiators.
Develop and support readiness levels to enable prototype and production of new product types.
Work with internal and external partners to achieve program objectives: Safety, Quality, Cost, etc.
Develop maintenance procedures, work instructions, and best practices for product lines.
Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Work to bridge fundamental R&D and Engineering projects with Operations to achieve customer requirements.
Share responsibility for problem solving in all manufacturing areas and be responsive to the needs and suggestions of all manufacturing teams and associates.
JOB SKILLS
Significant prior experience in developing equipment including fin machines, bar/clad plate processing, cleaning, build table, vacuum brazing.
Significant prior experience in developing Aluminum heat exchanger manufacturing process.
Significant prior experience in continuous product improvements on existing Copper Brass product line.
Prior experience with Aluminum Welding technology desired.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Plant layout and production flow.
Root cause Analysis.
A3 Problem Solving.
