JOB SUMMARY:

Wabtec is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services. Whether it's freight rail, transit, mining, industrial or marine, our expertise, technologies, and people - together - are accelerating the future of transportation. We are looking for C# and Java, SQL Server developer responsible for developing quality software solutions. The role covers the full SDLC, from requirements gathering through to implementation, testing and deployment automation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of software within using C#, MVC and SQL Server.
• Development of software within using Java, MVC, messaging frameworks
• The responsibilities are
  • Translate user stories into functional features and requirements.
  • Coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software as per the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and manage existing source code.
  • Migrate features to Java
  • Provide status reports and advice to the project team and internal stakeholders.
• Gathers and analyses data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent
• Work with Senior Software Engineers to understand and refine requirements and design.
• Identify problems uncovered by customer feedback testing—either correcting the identified problem or referring the problem to appropriate personnel.
• Maintenance-related activities on the existing applications: bug fixes, defect triaging, feature development, validation, and training.
• Provide inputs to determines processes and procedures for migration and new assignments.
• Provide inputs to colleagues with less experience
• Work within Agile development environments like Azure – DevOps, Rally
• Learn and develop skills based on project needs

QUALIFICATION

• Master's/Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication or Computer Science or Instrumentation or equivalent
• Proficient in the following technologies: MVC Asp.net, jQuery, JavaScript, Angular 6+, Web API, WCF, Web Service, Nunit, SQL Server/PostgreSQL, GitLab

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years’ experience in software development in C#

• Experience in ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC.

• Experience in .Net Core, SOA

• Intermediate skills on development using Java, MVC, Messaging, frameworks like Spring, JSF.

• Intermediate skills on UI frameworks like Prime Faces, SpringMVC, BootStrap.

• Experience in development in JavaScript, Angular, CSS

• Experience in developing SQL queries and Stored Procedures in MS SQL Server

• Good Understanding of software development processes and technologies.

• Clear, effective communication and English language skills, both written and oral

• Good personal management, organizational and interpersonal skills

• Organization – dedication to planning, implementing, following, and enforcing quality processes

• Customer focus – a work ethic where the customer is put first and responses to customer queries, issues and support needs are focused on.

• Effective time management.

• An enthusiastic attitude to hard work, learning new skills, and going above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction.

Desired

• Preference for experience with Rail domain and/or embedded software/ industrial communication products.

• Basic knowledge in WCF or any messaging framework

• Knowledge in JQuery, Web API, JavaScript toolkits and frameworks, Graph tools for data visualization

• Experience on Azure Cloud platform

• Data statistics and analytics skills.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
