Business Overview:

At Pride Bodies Ltd., we offer custom design and fabrication of utility, service, construction and other custom truck bodies. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • ensuring priorities of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork and Leadership are maintained
  • managing employees by instructing, training, coaching, organizing and providing them adequate knowledge about the paint process
  • assigning, planning, monitoring and problem solving in the paint operation and mounting bay to meet efficiencies and plan.
  • attending meetings and providing detailed information about the daily paint/mounting bay issues to management team
  • communicating with employees to understand their issues (i.e. safety, needs) and making necessary decisions to resolve them
  • communicating and co-operating with other department supervisors
  • educating employees about the Company’s established policies, procedures and product quality levels and ensuring conformance to them
  • motivating employees to achieve goals and targets
  • monitoring of daily attendance, performance and vacation schedules and managing exceptions
  • ensuring that documentation for Quality Performance Systems is maintained
  • painting when needed due to production needs as well as absenteeism
  • available for overtime as required to meet production schedules

Eligibility Requirements:

  • High school diploma required
  • ability to industrial paint truck bodies a must
  • previous experience in a supervisory role
  • trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills are essential
  • good reasoning ability to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagrammatic form
  • be a knowledge resource for other team members – experience in automotive painting and body work a must
  • strong conflict-resolution skills
  • strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • proficiency in MS Office an asset
  • 5 to 6 years industrial paint or Red Seal trained or equivalent
