Role Summary:
The Supply Chain Internship Program is a prestigious internship program for college students who have a passion for technology, a drive for excellence, and share in Wabtec’s core values. The program participants will have an opportunity to obtain exposure to real-life/real-time industrial product, process & supplier relation development. The program will facilitate to accelerate participants' industrial acumen through a variety of business-critical assignments. The typical internship duration is for about 6-months for the pre-final and final year students.
Responsibilities:
The interns have the following responsibilities:
Effectively perform assignment under the guidance of the assigned mentor
Learn tools & techniques required to execute the project
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to perform assigned tasks
Propose and implement new process/analysis techniques and methodologies
Demonstrate sound written and oral communication skills and agility in coping up with real-life business situations
Qualification/Characteristics:
Candidates shall have a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a proven academic track record
Mechanical / or allied engineering streams with background/specialization in Structures, Dynamics, Thermal / Fluid Systems, IC Engines, Tribology, Material Science, Manufacturing, Testing & Validation
Soft Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work independently as well as in teams
Strong problem-solving skills
