Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate awareness and compliance of safety requirements in assigned work area for self and peers to ensure safe working environment for all employees. The targets are zero lost time accidents and OSHA recordables.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in proper cycle counting, ensure inventory accuracy, identification of materials, put away, picking, transacting, delivering, and assuring quality of goods
- Ensuring Beach Front is maintained and correct with materials, ensure correct materials are picked and pull cells are replenished with the correct materials at point of use.
- Work closely with the first shift Materials Manager to ensure smooth transition from first shift to off shift.
- Report the effectiveness of warehouse/material activities and employee’s performance.
- Maintains storage area by organizing floor space.
- Supports warehouse manager in resources objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Review the daily reports from planning to determine what products can be picked for the day.
- Give out hourly or daily assignments to warehouse/materials team to ensure effectiveness
- On off shift read the production meeting file to ensure you are aware of today’s activities
- Make sure all areas are always clean and orderly.
- Be on floor working with your team to ensure employees are working safely, picking product correctly, meeting daily output targets and handling issue in an urgent manner.
- Determine process improvement and identify continual improvement opportunities
- Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating manufacturing workers, monitor workers to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
- Analyze material data and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement; identify and utilize methods of making manufacturing process more efficient and effective (reducing waste, using lean).
- Keep up GEMBA boards and understand the information you are presenting each day to identify opportunities for improvement or roadblocks.
- Direct corrections (corrective action) of any material problems that may arise; work with your team in development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Interface with your internal customers to answer questions or solve problems
- Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity through audit and correct material handling practices.
- Work with the cycle count team to maintain inventory by conducting daily cycle counts
- Work with the cycle count team to resolve inventory problems in a timely manner and escalate as needed
- Other duties as assigned

- A bachelor’s degree (e.g., business administration, industrial engineering) and ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment, three as a Manufacturing manager, are required.
- Must have demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team of manufacturing workers. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels, educational background, etc., are essential. Strong organizational and managerial skills required. Good knowledge and training experience (e.g., safety, quality, manufacturing tools & techniques, standards, regulations) will also be helpful.
- Possess basic math skills, and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create solutions.
- Strong knowledge in problem solving techniques
- Have a good understanding of LEAN concepts

Authority: (Defined decision-making level. The North American Region Director is the main authority at site level. To be able to give authority, any employee in the organization shall first receive it from their manager or upper level, up to the North American Region Director.)

- Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and coworkers is crucial. Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential. Receiving ordinary information and preparing or inspecting documents.
- The ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 25% of the time, as well as the ability to move about the manufacturing facilities (access files/storage, office equipment, computers, and other productivity devices; plan, organize, and attend manufacturing meetings; attend to various issues on the shop floor; etc.), is required.
- Using a computer while sitting is common, though most of the time will be spent in the manufacturing area, where eye, ear, and other protection (safety gear) are required.
- No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. may be required. Good manual dexterity needed to use common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers/scanners).

- The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled plant, office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
- Employee is required to be on site to supervise employees, etc. OR The Position requires the employee to be on-site during scheduled shift to perform daily duties and responsibilities.
- Requires daily face-to-face interaction with employees on production line.
