We are looking for bold, innovative, and passionate interns to work with our People team that supports more than 2.2 million associates around the world.
What you'll do
During the 10-week internship, participants will:
- Gain an understanding of the vision, mission and strategic objectives of our People function
- Learn about and lead numerous People-led initiatives through the various roles within People
- Work with analytics and behavioral science teams to build and test people plan hypothesis
- Drive insights-based selection and onboarding of executive talent
- Establish and grow People analytics tools, dashboards and data-driven insights to transform decision-making at Sam's Club across recruitment, succession planning, learning and performance management
- Take initiative, remain bold in their ideas and actively participate in all discussions
- Conduct internal and external research/benchmarking as appropriate
- Collaborate with associates across teams/functions to identify solutions and present recommendations
- Build their network of People professionals across the enterprise and receive direct exposure to several People leaders
- Receive support and guidance from a host of individuals including mentors and a dedicated Program Manager
A successful People Intern will:
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to work well independently and as a part of a team
- Possess the ability to work in a professional, confidential and everchanging environment
- Have strong communication skills and judgment abilities
- Have strong organizational skills with a particular emphasis on being detail oriented
- Demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking skills
- Remain a proactive, self-starter who is open to new challenges and can adequately manage risk
- Be able to analyze a problem, take a stance and propose a solution

After successfully completing the program, high-performing and highly motivated interns will have the opportunity to apply for our 2022 full-time Rotational Development Program that will launch their careers with Walmart People.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate program and currently pursuing a Master's in Human Resources, or related field
