2022 Campus FT: MBA Field Supply Chain Operational Leadership Development Program (OLDP)

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Walmart Field Supply Chain Operational Leadership Development Program (OLDP) is a highly educational and hands-on program which will open the door to a variety of different parts of the supply chain process. Through a series of placements throughout the business, you’ll strengthen your leadership skills and enhance your operational expertise.

The Path: You will be hired as an Operations Manager, but learn the ropes as an area manager for your first 6-8 months, where you will develop an associate-first leadership style. After one full peak holiday season (October-December), you’ll move into a true Operations Manager role for up to 12 months. Finally, after working two peak seasons, you will have the opportunity to move into a Senior Operations Manager or Assistant General Manager role within a Supply Chain Facility. You may also be considered for other Supply Chain functions (Product or Transportation) as a Senior Manager.

The Work: You’ll be able to collaborate with Area Managers to ensure optimization of various tasks, as well as connect with other Walmart Functions. You’ll ensure business needs are being met, while driving the execution of business plans and projects. A large part of your work will be combined of Outbound and Inbound operations, and owning all the parts of it, ensuring accuracy and high-quality reporting and results.

You will also build and lead a team to execute on business area objectives and give your team members and direct reports opportunities to enhance their skills, knowledge, and work performance. Additionally, you’ll oversee shift performance, and manage goals and finances to achieve optimal results.

Lastly, you’ll have an opportunity to contribute to Process Improvement and see where we can use different tools and methods to improve the overall supply chain process and implement those items across multiple shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently seeking an MBA with a spring/summer 2022 graduation

• 3+ years of relevant work experience

• Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Operations concentration/area of study
