Customer Experience at Walmart Global Tech

You will be a key member of the Mobile Platform team which owns the responsibility of architecting and gluing all the app features together, creating shared modules and components, and raising the bar for app performance and quality.  We think it’s the most important thing to get right for our 265 million customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

We support the W+ program (Walmart plus) for Walmart, which entails developing and maintaining the membership service and all the supporting functions around membership benefits. We are venturing out to build for a number of new membership capabilities that are going to be critical for Walmart to respond back to market competition. As part of this team as a senior software engineer, you will be expected to Design and implement best-in-class membership service solve for unique integration problems with our partners. Design solutions that are customer centric and highly performant. Mentor junior engineers on technology and product. Look into production issues, debug them, solve or propose alternatives, participate on on-call rotation. You would also be expected to perform code reviews, participate in scaling the systems for holiday traffic. Socializing solutions, getting to consensus, and leading a group of engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer

• Java/J2ee stack, Microservices, cloud technologies, PL/SQL, NoSQL, Cloud Design patterns

• Prior experience in membership domain, preferred
