What you'll do...

Associate Director, Marketing Planning and Strategy - Forecasting

Do you want to redefine how future planning and processes for the Marketing team are created for the world’s leading omni retailer?

The Associate Director, Marketing Planning and Strategy – Forecasting & Process will be responsible for developing and redefining the processes needed to setup a world class marketing organization. Further, this role will have a particular focus on the development and rollout of forecasts across the entire Walmart Marketing Digital landscape.   You will work within the Business Operations team and work collaboratively with members of the Marketing Analytics and Data Enablement team to deploy best in class analytical models.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

  • You’ve led multiple Business projects / programs medium to large in scope that are highly complex from planning to minimum realization with full responsibility and accountability for the outcomes; includes organizing and tracking project details and consistent communication with project stakeholders, sponsors, and key personnel

  • You have experience in acting as a driver for key enterprise initiatives including leading 4-in-the-box collaborating teams to concept, test, optimize and operationalize new ways of business planning

  • You have strong analytical skills and agility to strategically communicate the relationship between marketing results and business outcomes to drive cross-organizational alignment

  • You have utilized different digital media attribution methodologies (MMM, MTA, and LTA) to develop forecast models by marketing vehicle

  • You are familiar with leading discussions with a cross functional audience (category, channel, Finance) to obtain feedback that be used to refine forecasts on future performance

  • You know how to obtain stakeholder buy-in and present data analysis to teams

  • You’re detail-oriented, strategic thinker and curious

  • You’re driven, with strong organizational skills

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Conduct and lead the full bottoms up planning process across entire Marketing organization

  • Create and develop best practices that will be deployed across the organization

  • Develop processes to bridge Enterprise, Category and Channel goals

  • Manages and ensures the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse project stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships with media, category and finance

  • Develop, own, and gain organizational alignment on monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and analytic models across all digital marketing channels

  • Create feedback loops across cross functional organization to ensure buy-in and applicability

  • Provide guidance and strategic recommendations to leadership on performance, business risks and opportunities
