BUSINESS OPERATIONS (GROWTH OPS) MANAGER II – WALMART CONNECT

Want to be part of Walmart’s digital advertising growth story? The Senior Manager II for Growth Operations, Search, is a critical leadership role that leverages your natural curiosity and inventive problem-solving talents to anticipate and work on the biggest opportunities in retail search advertising.

The Business Operations organization at the Walmart Connect (WMC) works across teams to drive cross-functional alignment and enable growth and scalability of the business. We are the internal problem solvers of the organization, and we lead and drive strategic decision-making and execution of strategic initiatives across the entire company. 

Office Locations: San Bruno, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Hoboken, NJ; Chicago, IL.

Relocation will be provided if needed.

You’ll Make An Impact By

  • Leading strategic growth projects - Incubate, launch, test and scale high impact growth operations projects initiatives pulling together stakeholders from across Walmart that drive growth and revenue for the Search advertising business

  • Enabling data-driven transparency: Deliver high-impact quantitative and qualitative analysis and recommendations to business issues to leadership and stakeholders. Take complex business issues and solve them end-to-end through a combination of insightful analysis, consensus building

  • Taking courageous ownership: Be accountable for hitting targets, milestones and overall project management of initiative

  • Empowering culture of experimentation: Manage experiments pipeline and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to deliver amidst competing priorities and tight deadlines. You have an eye to identify issues and act urgently to address

  • Improve operational efficiency – Anticipate, analyze, prioritize, and drive key problems and opportunities that improve search monetization and efficiency

  • Building cross-functional relationships - Build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive influence.

  • Being adaptable: Be game to take on anything else fun that comes up

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred

  • 6+years relevant work experience in relevant roles, growth, product, management consulting, business strategy.

  • Ecommerce or retail or search advertising or media experience a plus.

  • Self-starter & action oriented - who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes

  • Strategic Problem solver – who loves getting to the details to drive flawless execution but can pull out and see the forest from the trees

  • High EQ Relationship-builder – who can influence people at all levels across a variety of job functions

  • Data-driven - who is relentless about digging into the data to discover insights and understand not just “what” the data tells but the “why” behind the numbers

  • Project manager – extremely organized individual with exceptional follow through and project management skills

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Cross-functional Team player – one who can pull different people together to drive towards a common goal

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change
