Join the Walmart US Legal Merchandising team and advise business and legal leaders about legal rights, obligations, and risks for the world's largest retailer. The Counsel III, Merchandising Transactions Legal role is critical to helping the business drive sales, manage supplier relationships, and maintain compliance with laws, while working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. You will partner with cross functional compliance, business, and legal teams to develop strategies that help mitigate legal and business risk, while also drafting contracts and advising on a wide variety of matters that directly support Walmart's mission of helping people save money so they can live better.

You'll make an impact by:
• Providing pragmatic legal guidance and workable solutions to the business
• Drafting and negotiating contracts that help the business, while mitigating corporate risk
• Identifying the need for legal/compliance support for business projects
• Having at least 5 years experience at a business-oriented law firm, or in-house role
• Collaborating well with cross-functional stakeholders

You'll sweep us off our feet if...
• You have substantial legal end to end commercial transactional experience with supplier and service agreements
• You have experience in the areas of antitrust, consumer protection, and intellectual property
• You havea background in Retail or CPG
• You thrive in serving cross-functional teams
• You have a proven track record of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
• You have strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders
