The Walmart Global Tech International Data Science Team is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist for the Sunnyvale, CA-based role to join the team, and be part of Search and Personalization development efforts in the Digital Experience domain.
What You Will Do:
Improve the performance of recommendation systems and search engines for e-commerce
Design, build and iterate on data models
Implement state-of-the-art techniques in Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Information Retrieval
Develop end-to-end ownership of major customer facing technologies and products
Work with cross-functional stakeholders in Engineering and Product to deliver new features
Write highly efficient code for superior model performance, and A/B test new ML models and algorithms related to Search and Recommendation
You Are Ideal If You:
Have a keen interest and experience in one or more of the following areas: Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Information Retrieval
Have a relevant technical degree (preferably advanced, in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, etc.)
Have 2+ years field experience in building and evaluating machine learning and deep learning models
Have 2+ years field experience putting machine learning models into production
Have 2+ years field experience using opensource frameworks (e.g.: scikit learn, tensorflow, keras, pytorch, etc.)
Are experienced with Big Data technologies and tools
Are experience with cloud technologies such as GCP/Azure
Are fluent in Python
MS/PhDs without prior industry experience are given consideration
