The Director - Finance (Health & Wellness Finance and Strategy) is a critical role combining Healthcare Industry expertise with financial analysis, strategy, insight development and collaboration skills to optimize performance across multiple businesses initiatives within our Pharmacy space. 

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

  • You have 7+ years of financial management experience in the Healthcare industry working with a national Pharmacy Chain, Pharmacy Benefit Manager, Insurance Plan or Healthcare Administrator.
  • Your previous job functions have considerable dealings with Actuarial/Healthcare pricing (Employer Group, Medicare, Medicaid, ACA Exchange).
  • You have experience with Digital or other Finance Transformation efforts with a major Healthcare business, knowledge in Medical Cost Trend Analytics (aka Medical Economics) as well as an advanced degree with a concentration in Actuarial science or M.B.A.
  • You are a strategic thinker: you have the ability to think associatively and understand relationships in complex systems.
  • You have a track record of providing inventive and sustainable solutions for big problems and opportunities.
  • You showcase an ability to operate comfortably with ambiguity and lead the team through multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • You have shown an ability to build relationships and influence without authority, aligning stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Your skillset has been honed within a major Health Insurer, Large Health Plan, Retail Pharmacy Company, Integrated Payer/Provider, PBM, Retail Clinic Network, Value-based Contractor, or Major Management Consulting Company focusing on the Healthcare Industry.

You’ll make an impact by...

  • Overseeing Day-to-Day Financial Oversight – Manage the H&W Pharmacy initiative portfolio, encompassing Specialty Pharmacy, Clinical Services, Merchandising & Sourcing, Store Labor Savings and Digital Initiatives
  • Maintaining the Highest Standards of Accuracy– Manage complex control structures to mitigate risk of financial misstatement by examining and monitoring; guiding cross-functional teams to develop new processes; ensuring proper controls for new and existing financial functions
  • Executing Data-driven, Fact-based Strategic and Analytical Projects – identify, scope, pitch, execute, deliver, and celebrate solving meaningful business problems
  • Offering Decision Support – Develop financial forecasts; assist with business solutions; lead ad-hoc projects as requested by the business; analyze financial impact of technologies, systems, and processes and providing insights to senior management; and assist in project implementation
  • Providing Feedback to Senior Management – Identify risks associated with financial projects and support the business unit budgeting process. Share insight on relevant historical trends, expected future events, and retail trends
  • Streamlining and Optimizing the Process – Innovate workflows on business plans and priorities by identifying and removing barriers that impact performance. Provide direction to initiative leadership teams by preparing business case development & financial models; recommending future operational and financial targets; and planning of business performance in partnership with Executive Business Leadership, Pharmacy Operations, Technology, Product and Design.
  • Promoting and Ensuring Compliance – Conduct departmental workflows adhering to all regulations, company policies, procedures, corporate mission, values, and ethics standards. Ensure proper controls for new and existing financial functions
  • Strengthening the Strategy – Equip yourself with business and industry knowledge and insights, then translate them to help build a better strategy
  • Organizing the Team – Use your organizational skills to help the team rally around ideas and execute against complex initiatives more efficiently
  • Seeking Opportunities – Proactively seek out opportunities to propel the business forward and prepare for the next generation of customer services and experiences
